There’s this radio show they play on a station that I get in my car that I was listening to on my drive home.. It’s a show where this older (sounds like he’s in his 40’s / 50’s) guy gives advice to young people 29 or younger. While I was listening, this girl called in because she had mixed feelings about 2 guys she had feelings for. She called him asking for legitimate advice. The guy did not give one word of advice about ANYTHING she should/could do to help the situation. Instead, he went back and forth between subliminally and blatantly shaming her about the fact that she is 16 and has had sex with 2 different people. I wanted to call this guy up and kill him through the phone.
There was a point where the guy said, “do you mind if some of my helpers give you their input about the situation?” and she said “yes, I’m open to anything” and he responded with “well that’s pretty obvious”. The worst part is that the people sound like they actually believe this guy. Not everyone is lucky enough to be taught to question things. I wouldn’t get angry or call them stupid, but I really just pity the people who talked to that guy today and I’m really hoping it was all fake set up callers or something.
